Project Description

At the start of the semester, we had to pick out a book from out of a hat that we had to do this meta book project for. These books were on the list of books that were banned from the U.S. for a while. I got Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The best way that I can describe this project is that we’re making a visual version of the book, but it can’t refer to the movie. We're incorporating some actual texts from the original story, dingbats fonts for that specific book, another set of text from the readings, "Reading Isotype" by Ellen Lupton, and images that we find that relates to the storyline of the book (also can't be from the movie). The point is that as you go through the book it gets built upon itself to its craziest point.
